Note: The word was apparently introduced, along with ambiversion, by the American psychologist Edmund S. Conklin (1884-1942) in "The definition of introversion, extroversion and allied concepts," Journal of Abnormal Psychology and Social Psychology, vol. 17, no. 4 (January-March, 1923), p. 377.
